    This is the theme of the Pacific Arts Association 12th International Symposium which will be held next year, 14 - 17 March 2016 in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland.

    The symposium is being hosted by the Auckland War Memorial Museum - Tāmaki Paenga Hira, one of NPM's Research Partners and will be held at a new venue on each of the four days:

  • Research Methods and Skills Scholarships

    Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga is once again offering its annual Research Methods and Skills Scholarships for Māori and Indigenous researchers and students.

    These scholarships are run via the New Zealand Social Statistics Network (NZSSN) and allow the recipients to attend 12 short courses in social science research methods, in Railway West, at Victoria University of Wellington's School of Government from the 9th - 20th November, 2015.

  • New Te Reo Māori Scholarships Announced - He Karahipi Reo Māori Hou

    Kua pānuitia i tēnei rā he hōtaka karahipi hou mō te reo Māori. 

     

    E rima ngā karahipi hou a Te Taura Whiri i te Reo Māori rāua ko Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga i huaina ko ‘Kia Ita’ hei tautoko i te rangahau reo Māori ki te taumata pae rua o ngā whare wānanga. 

     

    E ai ki a Ngahiwi Apanui, Te Tumuaki o Te Taura Whiri i te Reo Māori, “he $10,000 tāra te rahi o ia karahipi ‘Kia Ita’ nei hei tautoko i ngā rangahautanga kōrero mō te whakarauora i te reo Māori.”
